Blaugust 1st, I don’t know about last night

I ran through the latest update to the coming war.  We all have known and speculated for months about why and how Teldrassil burned, and I am at a loss.  I did not play through the Alliance side, I know from comments pretty much what happened.  And here is my impression.

This was me many years ago,

I wasn’t always a fluffy Pandaran.  There was a good period of time when I was a Night Elf Priest.

So last night I was expecting to have some feelings about what happened, I heard about what the Alliance saw.  And this came to my mind,

There is something there that is not right.  I do not know if it is the narrative they are pushing to build up the whole us vs them theme.  I found this,

In life, Sylvanas was the ranger-general of Silvermoon, whose leadership acumen and martial prowess were without equal. During the Third War, she bravely defended Quel’Thalas from a Scourge invasion led by the death knight Arthas Menethil. Ultimately, however, Sylvanas fell in battle. Rather than honor the ranger-general with a quick death, Arthas ripped out her soul and transformed it into a banshee: a cunning and vengeful agent of the Lich King empowered by hate.

Maybe we need to go all the way back,

The Scourge (or Undead Scourge and Scourge Army) is one of three major undead factions existing in the world of Azeroth (the other two being the Forsaken and the Knights of the Ebon Blade). Until recently, it was a major player for control of the world. Created initially as the precursor to an invasion by the Burning Legion, the Scourge broke free from their demonic masters and — under the iron rule of the dread Lich King — have built up their power base on the Arctic continent of Northrend. Their influence spreads throughout Northrend, as well as the Plaguelands in northern Lordaeron and southern Quel’Thalas, and even Kalimdor to a small degree. A terrifying and insidious enemy, before its downfall the Scourge was perhaps the most dangerous threat to the world of Azeroth.

We no longer have The Burning Legion, and we no longer have The Lich King…………. Or is that right to say…….
